We are seeking a highly capable Business Central Support Specialist / IT Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, service-oriented, and comfortable supporting both Dynamics 365 Business Central and a broad range of IT systems, combining strong technical skills with excellent communication, professionalism, and a proactive mindset. The Business Central Support Specialist / IT Generalist will be the go-to resource for end-user support, system troubleshooting, process improvements, and day-to-day technology operations across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications
 
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or application support
  • Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV)
  • Strong understanding of Azure ADMicrosoft 365, and cloud identity management
  • Solid grasp of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, firewalls)
  • Experience supporting iOS/Android mobile devices and tablets
  • Familiarity with VOIP systems and troubleshooting voice/network issues
  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate technical issues into clear, user-friendly language
  • Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and support a fast-moving environment
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Experience with Business Central extensions, integrations, or API connectivity
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with Intune or other MDM solutions
  • Background supporting small‑to‑mid-sized business environments

Key Responsibilities

Business Central Support (Primary Focus)
 
  • Provide frontline support for Dynamics 365 Business Central users across Finance, Operations, Sales, and Inventory
  • Troubleshoot issues related to posting, permissions, workflows, integrations, and data accuracy
  • Assist with user setup, security roles, and permissions management
  • Support configuration changes, page personalization, and basic system administration
  • Document processes, create training materials, and deliver user training sessions
  • Coordinate with external partners or Microsoft support when escalation is required
  • Assist with reporting, data exports, and Power BI dashboards connected to Business Central
 
General IT Support
 
  • Provide Tier 1–2 support for desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices (iOS/Android)
  • Manage user accounts, licensing, and security in Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Support Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other Office 365 applications
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and support basic network infrastructure (switches, Wi‑Fi, firewalls)
  • Assist with device provisioning, patching, and endpoint security
  • Maintain asset inventory and ensure compliance with IT policies
 
Power BI & Reporting
 
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Connect data sources, including Business Central, Excel, and cloud services
  • Support data modeling, refresh schedules, and user access
 
VOIP & Communications Systems
 
  • Provide support for the organization’s VOIP phone system
  • Assist with call flows, extensions, voicemail, and softphone/mobile app configuration
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and quality issues in coordination with the VOIP vendor
